Most women discover a breast lump through self examination, regular mammograms, or during a regular doctor visit. Only your doctor can determine if the lump is benign or malignant through a combination of tests.

If you have discovered a lump in your breast, then it’s time for action:

• Rest assured that about 80% of breast lumps that are biopsied are benign, but be proactive by making an appointment with your doctor for a thorough physical examination.

If your doctor has confirmed that your breast lump is a benign tumor, then it’s time to consider your options in careful consultation with your doctor:

• For some patients, monitoring their lesion with more frequent examinations is perfectly acceptable (i.e. watch and wait)

• For other patients, treatment is the best option.

Novilase is a minimally-invasive alternative to surgical removal of benign tumors. With Novilase, the tumor is destroyed without an invasive surgical procedure, and without a hospital visit, stitches, or general anesthesia.

Ask your doctor if Novilase is right for you or contact Novian Health for more information.
